Science, Photography, Life etc…

I have decided that no matter whether I find anything of any relevance to the world or not (most likely!) in my project I will be happy because not all research is successful and ground breaking. If I prove nothing then I can merely say that my null hypothesis was correct after all. This would only be somewhat unsatisfactory as I would’ve shown something scientifically even though it wasn’t particularly what I was looking for. Besides I can always publish in the Journal of Articles in Support of the Null Hypothesis.
In other news I have two stitches and some glue in my head after falling off my bike on Friday and deciding to cushion my fall onto the curb with my forehead. Fortunately no long lasting affects of concussion have been observed and my nose isn’t broken like I originally thought. I came round the last corner before home too fast and lost my wheels as I leant to turn falling onto the curb. I called an ambulance as I was bleeding quite heavily and lay there in a bit of a heap. A foreign girl walked past and asked if I needed help, she gave me some tissues. Thank you unknown foreign girl!
I rang Kazz and then Chris and Jen to arrange for them to pick Karen up from the bus stop so she wouldn’t be stuck outside my flat while I was in A&E although apparently I wasn’t very coherent on the phone. I got picked up in the ambulance and nearly fainted on getting in so had to lie down whilst the very chirpy ambulance crew assessed my injuries. It was the first time I have ever been transported in an ambulance and I can’t say I want to do it again soon. They put those pads that monitor heart rate on me and I kept knocking the wires off because I was trying to text, I wonder if that was appreciated!
Once in the hospital it wasn’t too long a wait to be seen and I didn’t have to go anywhere confusing. Eventually I got called through to be sewn up. I was lying on the table waiting to have local anaesthetic when a nurse comes in and gives me a phone and a five minute conversation with Karen ensues which made me feel a lot better. Then I had local anaesthetic injected into the gash in my forehead, this made me feel a lot worse! It was the single most painful experience I have ever endured although had I not had it then being stitched up would probably have superseded it! Twenty minutes later with two stitches and some glue to show for my efforts I got to leave. I got picked up my my auntie and uncle who had grabbed Karen from Jen’s and we went back home where I proceded to play wounded soldier but didn’t get much sympathy. =P
I’m just glad Karen was there for me. =)
