Science, Photography, Life etc…

This shot was taken at the beginning of a hike into the Moroccan mountains in the valley of the Ourika river. We hiked up to one of the waterfalls that feeds the river via a series of little gullies that the locals have diverted to fill their drinks coolers as I guess there isn’t a regular electricity supply up there. The houses all had cafes attached to them, although it felt like we were the only tourists around. I guess because it was so far off the beaten track, although its apparently only 30km to Marrakech, that most foreign tourists wouldn’t know about it. That was one of the best things about doing the overlanding; it was obvious that we were seeing so much more of Morroco than you would doing a package holiday or even just exploring on your own.
