Science, Photography, Life etc…

I’ve been trying to increase my productivity and ability to procrastinate over the past week. Inspired by posts from ZenHabits and ProductivityFlourishing I have removed many unnecessary distractions from my work laptop and have started using a timer to limit my “breaks” on the internet.
But I can’t do it alone hence I’m blogging to the world about it so I will feel guilty when it goes wrong in order to spur me on and help me make it stick! Today I managed to read a paper and write about 500 words through not logging into my emails and only having 5 minute breaks every now and again. It was really tough going in the afternoon as my attention span was really waning but I managed to plough on, and even though I’ll probably rewrite most of my current introduction its a lot easier to edit a document than to write it from scratch over and over again!
My goals for this productivity burst are:
I’m going to start blogging more regularly and more constructively. On Tuesday’s I will put up a photo from my archives with a blurb of what/where it is. On Thursday’s I will write a longer post about science, productivity or whatever comes into my head at that point.
