Here is a photo of a tree.  Its not just any tree, its a windswept tree in black and white.  Taken in the Lake District on the estuary near the Holker Estate, on top of an outcrop of rocks.  It’s been remarked that this shot is similar to Jeffrey Pine by Ansel Adams, which is a pretty good compliment to receive!  The exposed ridge is constantly battered by winds rolling in the Atlantic and many of the trees have grown in this weird bent over way to prevent branches snapping and the like.  Below the cliff top there is a large salt marsh which is covered in sheep and a mislaid shop mannequin which I came across in summer last year…
