Hiking Higger Tor

Taken from a vantage point at Carl Wark, this shot shows the path we took down from Higger Tor.  It was a blisteringly hot day, but up on the top the wind was ripping around enough to ensure that we were cooled nicely on the descent.  The walk itself was good and we only got lost once which was impressive considering the directions we were using were over ten years old.

I’ve not got too much to say this week due to my (seemingly ever present) interview prep.  I’ve finished all my behaviour experiments (no more watching snails turn ever!!) and hopefully will be done with my PCRs next week and then onto writing proper.  I’m looking forward to getting out of the lab for now and knuckling down to serious writing.  I just want one thing to concentrate on, but the end is in sight so things are moving in the right direction.
