One of our day trips was out to the Capilano Suspension Bridge which is a 137m stretch of wibbly wobbly cable bridge across the Capilano river some 70m below.  It’s pretty impressive that this is literally a 20 minute drive from downtown Vancouver, yet you’re standing in the middle of a rain forest!

I’m not good with heights or moving objects combined with heights, but reassured by the claims the cables were strong enough to hold 90,000kg of weight I felt fairly sure it wasn’t going to collapse and managed to make it across in one piece.

Above is a shot of the amazing trees shrouded in the mist of a typical Spring day in B.C.  This was just the sort of shot I had in mind when we got to the canyon and saw how wet and misty the weather was, so I was pretty pleased to find some pleasingly arranged trees and pull it off.

Below is a shot from the far side of bridge so I can confirm I made it all the way across!
