On Saturday we braved the searing heat and the tube to visit London Zoo for the first time.  Considering it’s in the middle of London I was very impressed with how large many of the exhibits were.  My personal highlights were the adorable prairie dogs (like this little guy!) and the B.U.G.S. (Biodiversity Underpinning Global Survival) exhibit, which was very cool and a great overview of how human actions can help prevent catastrophic loss of biodiversity.

Later that evening we saw more animals in the Lion King in the West End; it was the most impressive production I’ve ever been to.  The performers must have to be so fit to cope with the physical demands of dancing whilst dressed up as African animals.

Here’s the photo on my map.
