Science, Photography, Life etc…

I previouslyvisited Mark’s Hall at Easter, and last weekend we went back to explore the gardens a bit further. This shot is taken downstream of my previous post and is one of the many weirs that line the waterway. There were loads of dragonflies resting on the reeds but I couldn’t get close enough to get a photo on my phone (I had my wide angle lens on my DSLR). I’m thinking of going back on Sunday with my tripod and long lens to see if I can get some shots of them!
We were wondering where the actual hall was and I stumbled on a poster explaining an archaeological dig that was taking place. Apparently the hall itself was due to be used as a US Air Force command post in WW2 but was damaged by squatters and subsequently demolished in 1950.
