Walking at Tarn Hows after a rainy night resulted in several good shots of beautiful mushrooms.  I don’t have a dedicated macro lens (it’s very much on the want list!) but I was really pleased with this group of shots, the best one you can see above.

The greens and browns were accentuated by the previous night’s downpour and a slight cross processing on the computer gave the muted tone that I’ve gone for.  I really liked shooting something different, normally I’m a big landscapes or animals sort of photographer but this was a great experiment for me.  The only issue is now I really want a macro lens!
