Science, Photography, Life etc…

Taking advantage of the insanely good weather last weekend we took a trip into Cambridge and visited the University Botanical Gardens. First of all they were huge (40 acres according to the map we had), and looked great in the late autumn sunshine. Secondly, there was a massive variety of plants in some very nicely designed displays. It took us a few hours to walk all the way round and still didn’t manage to see absolutely everything (we skipped the section on composting, sorry Mum!)
Ironically my favourite thing we saw was the greenhouses, where these great looking chili peppers were found. According to the sign on the tub, these are from the Chili Firecracker plant which are pretty hot (I didn’t fancy tasting one so can’t give you a personal opinion). I thought they were quite cute looking like mini bell peppers so captured this photo.
